ETCO AUTOMOTIVE PRODUCTS MOLDING UNIT RECEIVES QS-9000, 3RD EDITION CERTIFICATION

June 1, 2002 - Bradenton, FL-- ETCO Inc. Automotive Products Division, a leading supplier of spark plug and distributor terminals, as well as rubber insulators (boots) to OEMs and aftermarket customers since 1978, has announced that its molded products department has been certified to QS-9000 3rd edition. QS-9000 is the common supplier quality standard for Chrysler Corporation, Ford Motor Company, and General Motors Corporation.

ETCO Automotive Products Molding Department produces straight and angle boot insulators in a wide variety of configurations. According to Bob Altomonte, President of ETCO Automotive Products, "our stamping department has been certified to the QS-9000 quality system since 1996 and this new molding certification simply assures OEMs and aftermarket suppliers that ETCO can fulfill all of their ignition component needs."

ETCO ignition products include spark plug and distributor terminals, 5mm and core crimp terminals, as well as straight and angle boot insulators.
