ETCO Announced the Release of Twist Locks in Loose Piece and in Strip Form

Twist Lock Terminals now available in loose piece form.

Manufacturer of wire termination products announces twist lock product availability in loose piece format providing flexibility in production processes.

ETCO Incorporated announced today the release of its twist lock product in loose piece form. The manufacturer of wire termination products for appliance, electronic, automotive and medical industries traditionally sold the twist lock product in carrier strip form only. This new development allows heavy cord manufacturers the flexibility in their wire termination applications by utilizing twist locks as they need them.

The availability of the twist lock product in loose piece format also allows manufacturers to cut costs in their manufacturing processes. The ability to use a variety of ETCO applicators and hand crimpers gives heavy cord producers and wire harness houses a new, low cost option when short runs of the cord products are needed.  Twist Lock terminals are constructed from 260 cartridge brass and reduce inventory requirements by accommodating several wire sizes. Featuring one crimp ear that can accommodate wire sizes from 10-16 AWG, they eliminate the need for tooling changes from one wire size to another. ETCO Male Twist Lock Terminals are offered in NEMA L5à —15P (125 V) NEMA L6-15P (250V) and NEMA L7 15P (277 V) configurations for molded electric power cords.

ETCO Cord Product Manager, Steve Blanche , states that, “As a manufacturing and engineering-centric company, ETCO strives to provide solutions and new ideas that will benefit manufacturers.” He continues, “The availability of twist locks in loose piece format means that manufacturers can save on costs and produce quality products consisting of parts that last a long time.”

Samples for manufacturing production are available upon request by visiting the ETCO twist lock website. Loose piece twist locks are available for purchase in set quantities through ETCO distributors internationally and directly from ETCO in the United States.
