ETCO Incorporated Announced Launch of Multiple Color Insulated Product Line for Custom Manufacturing

ETCO introduces multiple color insulated terminals.

ETCO Incorporated today announced the launch of a new line of products that are customizable by manufacturers in automotive, appliance and medical industries. The Company’s entire insulated product line can now be ordered in a series of colors including red, green, natural, black and blue. Exact colors are available based on customer specified hexadecimal codes. These wire termination product housings can be used to match wires in all manner of manufacturing applications.

The announcement signals a new direction for ETCO based entirely on customizations for manufacturers who want the flexibility to use parts that precisely match the features of their products. The new insulated products allow manufacturers to color code based on a range of custom manufacturing needs. As an example, manufacturers can color code based on commonly used safety protocols. Another example would be the use of a red insulator to denote critical wiring. Appliance manufacturers can now match specific functions based on the colors that carry through wiring and into termination housing.

The engineers at ETCO developed this product line specifically with productivity in mind. Line workers in custom manufacturing applications will now be able to clearly connect wiring using the color coded insulated product. There will be less confusion when assembling products because the colors will allow workers to match locations for wiring inputs. ETCO is currently launching the product for high volume manufacturers (primarily 500,000 parts manufactured or more). The Company hopes to roll out smaller runs based on individual customer manufacturing needs.

The current ETCO lines of insulated products for which the customizable colors are available for custom manufacturing include: insulated blades, insulated female disconnects, insulated male disconnects and insulated right angle female disconnects. These products can accommodate wide range of wire sizes and gauges.

ETCO’s Executive Vice President Sean Dunn states that; “Giving manufacturers a choice on the types of products they receive provides better products for the end user.” He continues, “this is in keeping with our plans to expand our capabilities to provide better service and products for our customers.”

Founded in 1947, ETCO is a privately owned company. The Company manufactures precision metal stampings and rubber and plastic molded products used principally by major automotive and appliance manufacturers. ETCO also has major customers in a variety of other industries in the USA and over 30 countries throughout the world. ETCO has factories and a research complex in Bradenton, Florida and a factory and engineering center in Warwick, Rhode Island.
