ETCO Launched Tandem of Composite Applicator and Specialized Coated Tooling

Composite Terminal Applicator by ETCO

(Bradenton, FL) ETCO Incorporated, a manufacturer of custom precision stampings, molded products, and wire termination parts today announced the launch and pairing of two technologies that will save manufacturers time and money. The company is coupling its recently launched composite frame applicator, EDGE-C, with a new specially coated perishable tooling – that when used together can extend the life of both.

ETCO’s EDGE-C applicator is a ground-breaking wire termination product. Its composite frame stands apart from the heavier, less efficient, metal-based applicators. With less maintenance needed and a frame rated to last longer than its metal-based counterparts, the EDGE-C applicator is a favorite in the wire termination industry.

Not resting with this innovation alone, ETCO engineers sought to enhance the company’s composite offering with a specially coated perishable tooling part. The specially coated tooling is shaded darker near its impact point and indicates that the proprietary layer is at work. This coating differentiates ETCO’s tooling from comparable parts because it lasts longer than standard tooling with minimal difference in price.

The tandem of both the EDGE-C and specially coated tooling has led to a 140% increase in the life of perishable parts. Manufacturers gain reliability, cost-savings, and efficiency with these two parts working as a unit. ETCO Vice President of Sales, John Stiness states, “at 140% increase in the life of tooling, we’re just beginning to show customers the benefit of EDGE-C and the specialized tooling.”

Both EDGE-C and the specially coated tooling will be available for viewing and demonstrations at the Wire Processing Expo on May 10th and 11th Milwaukee, Wisconsin. They are also immediately available for purchase directly from ETCO.

Founded in 1947, ETCO is a privately owned company. The Company manufactures precision stampings as well as rubber and plastic molded products used in a range of industrial manufacturing including automotive, appliance, aviation, medical, information technology hardware, networking and many others. ETCO also has major customers in a variety of other industries in the USA and in over 30 countries throughout the world. ETCO has factories and a research complex in Bradenton, Florida and a factory and engineering center in Warwick, Rhode Island.
