Quality and Compliance

ETCO engineers and quality experts are always looking to stay ahead of the industry curve when it comes to maintaining the highest manufacturing quality. We maintain ISO 9001:2015 certification and IATF 16949:2016 certification for most of our processes and hold all of our employees to high standards in regards to both manufacturing and quality.

We are audited by UL and CSA throughout the year on all applicable products and processes to assure we always meet or exceed requirements. At ETCO, we hold our suppliers to rigorous specifications and can trace every finished part to its original source and lot number.

The end result is quality material coming in and quality products going out. This helps our customers’ production lines run as efficiently as possible, which is one more reason our customer retention rates are among the best in the industry.

ETCO products undergo thorough testing and conform to industry leading standards, including SAE’s rigorous J2031 & J2032 standards. Products that fulfill industry organizational testing standards also comprise the UL, CSA, or ROHS information we have on file and available upon request.

With major manufacturing centers in the United States and distribution/logistics systems throughout the world, ETCO maintains a steadfast commitment to quality. In addition, ETCO understands that running lean efficient manufacturing operations is the key to bringing cost-savings as well as quality products to our customers. To that end, we’ve provided a complete compliance section on this page that provides links to our ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949:2016 certification, RoHs letters, Conflict Mineral statement and corporate responsibility statement.

For ETCO, quality begins at our suppliers, continues to our manufacturing and end products and finally continues on to what gets delivered to our customers.

Commitment

ETCO is committed to our corporate responsibility, which entails strict adherence to applicable laws and environmental protection, as well as employee protection. We use this philosophy in the way we run each and every one of our facilities, to ensure public health not only amongst our team but within the community at large.

We are always aware of the environmental impact our operations may incur, and so our commitment goes beyond the satisfaction of accepted efforts. We continuously strive to improve our corporate responsibility methods to stay current and ahead of the industry standard.

Our product design team looks ahead to our methods of manufacture in a way that allows us to minimize the risk associated with the use and disposal of our products. We are always looking to conserve energy, raw materials, reduce waste and emissions, and be a good neighbor within each of the communities we conduct our business in.

Compliance

In order to achieve the above commitment goals, we regularly assess and measure key performance indicators at plant, business unit and corporate levels. We hold our plant and business operations employees accountable for their corporate responsibility actions.

We also utilize external experts who conduct audits, making sure that we’re adhering not only to governmental, legal and regulatory requirements, but that we’re staying in close accordance with our own standards.

Finally, we provide comprehensive training and tools to our managers and line employees on a variety of environmental topics, as required by regulation.

Environmental Health and Safety Staff

In addition to the efforts made by our staff, we employ a special set of individuals who comprise our environmental health and safety staff. They are located in our business operations locations as well as our manufacturing plants. They’re on hand to help with program guidance, best practices, web-based resources, legal and regulatory guidance, and other integral information regarding our EHS policies.

Certifications and Registrations

Current ETCO Certifications and Registrations:

Over the years, ETCO has undergone cultural change based on the Philip Crosby Quality Management Methodologies. Crosby’s Zero Defects concept says, “Do things right the first time.” It is never cheaper to do something over, or to do it inefficiently or inconsistently for the company or the customer. At ETCO, the concept Zero Defects and Continuous Improvement is an integral part of the business and an ongoing effort. All ETCO employees receive training based on the philosophy and quality system developed by Philip Crosby.

ETCO involves all employees in this effort through Quality Work Groups, otherwise known as QWG’s, which were born from the Crosby System Quality Improvement Team. The management staff at ETCO meet at scheduled intervals to continually improve a broad scope of the company’s processes. These groups are a spin off of the Crosby System’s Quality Improvement Team and have proved to be effective tools in our process. As a result, the improvement process becomes more than just common sense it becomes common practice.

Quality Policy

Quality is a culture, a state of mind, and our primary collective goal.

Quality is an uncompromising and continuous examination, improvement and effectiveness
of all our work processes to accomplish zero defects and on time delivery.

Quality is 100% right the first time, every time, and on time.

Quality is ETCO’s Culture.
